YOUR SESSION / YOUR SOUND
WHAT MESH
REMEMBERS.
Mesh works without an account. Your browser stores a random player identifier and a secret rejoin credential in this tab’s session storage. They let you reconnect to your dimension. The secret is never included in invitations or performance exports.
The session service stores your dimension, connection status, controls, World changes and SHIFT events. Every session has a fixed opening and expiry time. Activity cannot extend it. Closed sessions retain read-only state and their most recent 10,000 events until 24 hours after expiry; already connected participants can export that history. An export stays on the device that downloads it.
A session code or invite link lets people join only while the backend confirms the session is active. Share it with the people you want to play with. Creating a session also gives you a separate private creator key, retained in this tab. That key can close the session early or choose a preferred audio engine. It is never part of invite links, shared state or exports. Keep a copy if you need to manage from another browser. A session is not a private recording archive.
Remote listening sends the instrument’s generated audio from the engine device to the other active players over the secure session connection or WebRTC, depending on the deployment. The session connection forwards short audio packets in memory; it does not store them in session history. Mesh never requests your microphone or camera. Hosting, peer connections and any network relay process the data needed to deliver audio. Hosting and session infrastructure also receive ordinary request metadata.
This build contains no advertising, tracking analytics, AI functionality or automatic audio recording. Leaving releases your player slot. Close the tab to discard its rejoin credential.
